This is an Antique Thumbprint Ten Panel Glass Inkwell in excellent condition. It was hand blown and has the pontil mark on the bottom, which is an indication it was made before 1820. The bottom has the 10 panel thumbprint design.
It is a funnel style, made with clear glass with a spillproof top. It is 2 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches wide at the top. It is 2 5/8 wide at the bottom. It weighs about one pound. Would make a nice heavy paper weight too.
