This General Electric travel iron dates from the early '50s, in the days when you couldn't find an iron in every hotel room across the county. It is shiny metal, with a plastic handle, which collaspes to take up less room in the suitcase. I do not have the cord (which fits into the bottom of the handle) so I don't know if it works correctly, but the mechanism is so simple, I can't imagine it wouldn't. There is a space on the top of the iron to change the heat setting, but no lever (unless you just moved the little arm I can see inside the slit using a pen knife. Base of iron has surface scratches from plenty of use, but would shine up very nicely. Heavy, well made, like things were then. No reserve.
