Lampwork Glass Turtles Dutch Trading Bead Necklace

This necklace was purchased by me when my exhusband and I lived on the island of Borneo, which is part of Malaysia. I purchased it in an antique store there selling antique native items. I was told these were original glass Dutch trading beads brought by the Dutch to trade for items from the islands' headhunters in the late 1800's. (I could have been ripped off, who knows...but just thought you might like to know where I got them from.) They are strung on an 1/8" thick silk cord. There are three turtles, one has white and orange on his back, one has purple and white, and the third has green and white on his back. Each turtle is approximately 1 1/4" long and 3/4" wide. There are two round matching beads on each end of necklace. The necklace is approximately 24" but can be adjusted shorter by shortening the cord. This could also be taken apart and the beads used to make another craft or jewelry project.

Shipping to be paid for by buyer. I am more than happy to combine shipping for multiple purchases. I do not charge a handling fee, the only instance I may charge one is if you win an item that may require extra or special packing materials. Insurance is the responsibility of buyer, I cannot be held responsibile for breakage or damage once an item or package leaves my possession.

I do not accept returns, all items are sold in gently good used condition unless otherwise specified. I try to describe any flaws at the time of listing. The only time I will accept a return is if item was grossly missrepresented.
