This is a piece of the Lance meteorite. It fell on July 23, 1872 at 5:20 pm in Vendome, Loir-et-cher, France.
Six pieces were found after the fall, weighing a total of 51.7 kilograms.
Lance is classified as a carbonaceous chondrite, (CO3.4). This meteorite is almost totally locked up in museum collections in Europe, and this piece is cut from a specimen which was exchanged out of the Vienna Natural History Museum in Austria. It is rarely offered to private collectors, and even more rarely in micro-sized pieces on ebay. This is a great chance to fill a rare fall hole in any collection.
This piece weighs 0.1186 gram and is a partslice. This is a very rare meteorite. The cube in the photo measures 1 cm.
I am a meteorite dealeand fully gaurantee the authenticity of every meteorite and tektite specimen I sell.
