MBTC- 7 ancient ROCK CRYSTAL BEADS, 500 + yrs old

An unusual group of 7 very old if not ancient stone beads from West Africa, made of colorless quartz, or "Rock Crystal", three have been made into pendants with the application of twisted copper and or silver wire (within the last generation or so), while the rest remain in a basic bead shape although some have been drilled near one side of the bead rather than through the center, which makes an interesting look for suspension. The condition is mostly good, showing great age and wear overall, about 11 to 17 mm in diameter, not counting the wire loops. The center pendant bead which is "crystal clear", is about 12 x 20 mm in size.
These came from one of the much older West African cultures, some of which date back to as early as Roman times. While it is impossible to tell the age of such stone beads without more archaeological data, these great examples are obviously quite old and have a great natural character.
Most photographs have been enlarged to show details, so items may appear larger than their actual size. Colors appearing on the viewers computer may appear different in comparison to the original object.

Shipping cost for the United States and military APO addresses is $5.00 for USPS Priority Mail. The length of time required for delivery is usually two to three business days. We can provide other forms of shipping such as First Class and Express Mail by special request, but you must e-mail us directly for this service. You may combine shipping at no additional cost for as many items that will fit safely in a 5-1/2 x 9 inch USPS standard shipping package. If a larger package is required for fragile items, additional items or because the items are too large, you will only be charged $5.00 plus the actual additional shipping cost. Items may be combined from auction to auction, as long as payments are made within 7 days of the auction closing date for each item.
