This auction is for ten new old stock NEC D27C4001CZ-15 one time programmable ROM's. The only difference between these and standard 27C4001 or 27C040 EPROMS is that these chips cannot be erased once they are programmed. I bought a bunch of these a few years ago when I was repairing pinballs full time. They are perfect for Williams/Bally ROM's and since I typically used the latest firmware, there was never a need to go back and erase them. They program exactly the same as an NEC 27C4001 EPROM.
