OLD Sewing Seam Gauge from Grandma's sewing basket . . .
Metal with sliding clip that locks in place. Measuring portion is 3" long, callibrated to 1/8"; largest measure using locking clip is about 2 3/8". Total length is 4", including a 1" handle portion. Looks like there may have something been glued onto handle portion that is now missing. Not sure of age of this sewing tool. It was in my grandmother's sewing things and probably has not been used in many years. (It has been 25-30 years since my grandma did any sewing. This tool actually may have been my great-grandmother's dating back to the 50's or earlier.) Shows age and discoloration in parts. I did not try to clean it. Section of gauge under where the clip has been is lighter in color.
