Up for your consideration is a Old Inkwell with a Bakelite lid....Lid marked: American Seating Co. No.60....Bottom of glass embossed: 60....Thick clear glass with a black bakelite lid....Top of the lid has a slide open mechanism for insertion of the pen....Measures approx. 1 3/4" tall x 1 3/8" diameter of the base....The OLD inkwell belonged to my 90 year old Grandfather and Has Been Stored....The inkwell remains in Good Vintage condition....One tiny chip at the bottom ot the glass rim....No other chips, nics, cracks or repairs....The lid has been cracked with a small piece of it missing....This Does Not Take Away from this OLD Inkwell....The lid works fine....The lid PASSED All of the Bakelite Testing....The rub test....The hot water test....The 409 test....Guaranteed Bakelite.........................................................I Have Tried To Describe This Item To The BEST Of My Ability....I Am NOT A COLLECTOR....Please Remember That This Is A VINTAGE Item So Please Ask Questions....All Sales Are FINAL....Thanks For Looking !!!!
