For being over 40 years old, this book is in good condition and ready to offer all the information needed to host your next party or gathering!
This is "OLD MR. BOSTON De Luxe Official Bartender’s Guide" compiled and edited by Leo Cotton Published by Mr. Boston Distiller Inc. Boston, Massachusetts printed November 1963.
This book was originally given as a gift and the giver inscribed their name and the recipient’s name on the inside page in blue ink. Other than this, the inside of this book is clean with great vintage pictures of bottles, and many pen-and-ink illustrations and drawings throughout. The back inside cover has a drawing showing the different glasses and goblets used for specific drinks.
The front cover has at some point over the years been next to something that marred it as there are several small places where the red has rubbed off. We do not know what caused this. It is sad that it happened as this and the inscription are the only things that detract from this book being in excellent condition. It still contains helpful information and interesting pictures and illustrations. The Table of Contents and the detailed index make this book a handy reference.
