Found this bad boy in the bottom of a trunk full of leather belts. From what I understand it is an Official Police Positive .38 special with a 2 inch bbl, holster. Either a State Trooper or Police Officer's uniform gun holster from before the .357 standard. Pretty old piece but in servicable shape. Heck if I had an old police positive I'd display it in this. Back of holster stamped with the words "Safety Speed Holster, Montebello, CAL US sales only, no pay pal or personal checks. What you see is what you get.
