One rare trade bead from my private collection.
I estimate that this Venetian glass beads was made
in Italy in the late 1800s, possibly earlier.
You get the single bead in the photo.
What's unique about this one is the tabular shape.
Smaller, with 3 dots on each side, inside a circle,
made in glass on each side. One side has a small
chip near hole which can be seen from the photo.
Of all the hundreds of rare beads I've had over the years,
this is one of only two great tab shaped ones. I cannot
replace this bead as it's the only one like it I've ever seen.
These would make great center beads for a bracelet.
Or a nice addition to your collection so you can
say you have at least one tabular shaped one, and
this one does have a nice design. Some decor
on side of bead as well (not shown in photos).
To give you an idea of the size
of this antique handmade bead, it's about the same diameter as a dime.
Handsome. Antique, rare beads.
