This auction is for a very unique and hard to find General Electric socket. I think the metal is a rose brass and it has a nice looking old patina. The switch makes a good crisp sound when you turn it. The base is heavy and solid. I'm not sure what this socket and base was used for. I was thinking maybe old country stores would use these and mount them on the rafters or on the ceiling? This is the only one like this I've ever seen. I can't find any damage here. Condition is very nice for it's age.
