I have not have had verification as of yet but my gut feeling is that the black phantom is created with hematite like deposits, possibly even goethite, another iron oxide. Not carbon as you would find in Herkimer Diamonds. .
There is definitely another worldy feel to these crystals,
I find them exceptionally grounding and also feelings of clarity. There is tremendous third eye energy from these incredible stones.
The other day I placed my single terminated crystal at my crown chakra and very quickly went into a meditative state, I felt a tremendous flow of white light surrounding me quicker than usual. The energy at that point was very intense at the crown chakra.
