Charming retro piece, probably 30's - 40's ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Painted carved wood canape or hors d'oeuvre serving set. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The swan is buttery cream colored with black painted into the etched detailing, on a simple black block base. ~~~~~~~~~~~~"Cross Knife stainless steel" and a little crossed blades icon stamped into the knife blades. ~~~~~~~~~~~ DIMENSIONS: Base: 1 1/8"tall x 7 1/8" long x 2 1/2" deep. Swan:8 1/4" tall, and widest at wing tips, about 3 1/4". Knives: 6 1/4" long x 3/4" wide.
