I’m not sure exactly what this is,…so I took a guess. There’s nothing on the back to hang it, so I believe this to be an old jewelry tray (you know,…like when right before you go to bed, you take off your rings, necklaces, earrings, etc.).
It measures 5-1/2” across, and is about 7/8” deep. It has a what looks like a country cottage scene on the bottom (covered by glass) of a cottage, a large abstract rose, and a butterfly. The material looks older, more vintage,…maybe even handstitched but I am not 100% sure (I think it may be a print). The tray has a heavier, canvas-like blue material around the sides (both outside and inside).
I’m not sure who made it (there is no maker name), or exactly how old it is, but it actually appears to be very well made (solid). The only flaws I can see are a few very light surface scratches on the glass (ONLY noticeable when held indirectly to the light), and some faint shabby-like fading in spots on the blue trim. There is a small spot (maybe part of the material) just above the rose, and the inside seam where the blue material meets has a little separation to it.
Sold As-IS from a smoke-free home. I try to provide the most accurate description I can so you know exactly what you are getting and there are no “surprises” at either end of the transaction.
