This record holder goes on a portable “suitcase” or box type Victor Victrola. The hinges attach to the inside of the lid of the portable Victrola. I believe this was made in the 1920s. Ten records without paper sleeves will fit into this holder. I do not know how many records it would hold with sleeves.
The holder measures 11”x11”x1-1/2.” It is in fairly good condition for its age. It does have some marks and stains which are shown in the pictures. It looks like the holder is made of a black fabric over wood. Also, on the bottom edge someone has written “751.” There is some rust on the hinges.
