Up for bid is a Vintage Mechanical Bank by Alabe Crafts of Cincinnati, Ohio. Alabe Crafts was a company where Al Carter and Abe Bookman developed the first Magic 8 ball. This bank has no pictures or marks other than the sticker shown in the photo. As the pictures show this bank is operated by battery and there is no corrosion evident. I can see or feel no cracks on the bank but there are a few spots that need to be cleaned up as per the picture of the front at the bottom. Per the patent on the sticker there is an arm that comes out and takes the coin. I have not put batteries in it to try and will leave that up to the buyer but there is a small opening in the back that if I open it I can see the arm on the mechanism. Below is a link for the patent info and it is dated as filed Aug 5th 1965. Any questions please let me know.
