Title pretty much says it all. This is a Seeburg 20 selection wallbox, model number W1-L56. This was first produced in 1946, and was meant to go with the 146 and 147 "trashcan" jukebox, and I BELIEVE also the model 148.
Wallbox is in nice original condition (except note that the front glass is cracked).
Front "Seeburg" logo is very nice, as are the push buttons too. Inside it will probably need cleaned up and gone over.
Wallbox is complete, except is missing the front key (keys are readily available).
Even includes the song title strips from the last time it was on location.....sort of like a mini-time machine.
Please note that this WALLBOX does not have the capability BY ITSELF to hold or play 45 rpm records, or music for that matter. This is a REMOTE SELECTOR which would be hooked up to one of Seeburg's late 40's 20 selection jukeboxes.
I'm told that you could also hook these wallboxes up to different devices, like a CD player, or another type for a computer to play MP3 files. (Jukebox Wallbox to CD Changer Adapter [data sync eng] Jukebox Wallbox to computer MP3 [highland music technology]). Both of these items are available on ebay as well.
Some people also choose to keep them by the telephone, for an UNUSUAL kind of telephone directory (replacing the music title strips, with friend's names and telephone numbers).
Oh....one last thing....
The domestic quote I'm giving for this item is for UPS ground, HOWEVER, it will NOT be sent by UPS, since they are more expensive than Fed Ex (and in my opinion, less dependable). Something you may not know about me, is that I am always trying to pack and ship the item AS SAFE AND AS ECONOMICAL AS POSSIBLE.
In other words, the quote from the shipping calculator will be somewhat HIGHER than the ACTUAL cost of shpping.
