An original World War One letter dated Camp Leach D.C. Aug. 11, 1918. The letter reads:
Dear Dot Edith
I received your letters of the Aug. 5 7th and will now answer them I was at the rifle range when they came and did not get them until I got back to camp.....It was 109 in Camp Moday the hospital was full of heat cases some died. It was 115 at the Y.M.C.A. It was hell on the rifle range too.........Joe
The letter is in very good condition, with some light edge wear.
