An original World War One letter which includes the envelope. The envelope has the send to address of Toledo, Iowa. It is dated, Madison Wis June 3, 1918. The letter reads:
Dearest Alice
I just received your letter that you mailed......There is a awful lot of Iowa people hear now. I guess there was a couple of weddings hear Saturday.....I think we are going to get another shot in the arm. I will be glad when that is over, it don't hurt so bad but a person don't feel very good for a day or so....We got our inocculation last night but my arm is not very stiff and I am feeling alright............Chrissie
The letter is in very good condition.
