An original World War One letter which includes the envelope. The envelope has the send to address of Warehouse Point, Connecticut. It is dated 2nd Company Fort Slocum NY June 4, 1918. The letter reads:
Dear Mother:
I hope you are feeling well. Don't worry about me because I am all right......I have been vaccinated and (needled) innoculated and have been sworn in. Slept in wooden barracks last night but go out in a tent tonight....Watched baseball practice and some boxing, a thing Rolfe would like.....Hayden
The letter is in very good condition.
