An original World War One letter which includes the envelope. The envelope has the send to address of Warehouse Point, Connecticut. It is dated June 5 1918 Fort Slocum N.Y. The letter reads:
Dear Mother:
The movies were fine last night. There was a speaker and singing besides.....Got my uniform about 11:00 had dinner, report at 1:00 and was dismissed until 4:15....A bunch of fellows are singing around the piano. They do every afternoon and evening. There is a basball game every afternoon between the different companies. On Sunday they play a big game against some other camp or perhaps sailors from some ship......Hayden
The letter is in very good condition.
