This is a 100% authentic hand-signed autograph of World War Two Medal of Honor recipient PFC Mike Colalillo.
I've been collecting MOH recipients' autographs for over 30 years. Frank Burke, who was my grandfather's insurance broker, was my first. Back in 1970 when I nervously asked Frank for his autograph I thought I was the only person on the planet who wanted something on a personal level from these special men. I'm happy to see that I'm not alone. I've managed to put together a fine collection of signatures over the years. On numerous occassions I've bought out entire collections or lots just to land one or two signatures that I still needed to fill a vacancy within my collection. Needless to say I've accumulated dozens of duplicates in the process. I'm very happy to offer these to my fellow collectors. I will be listing several MOH autographs over the course of the next few weeks. Some Ebayers are asking about sports and Hollywood-related autographs. I'm a collector of military-related autographs, especially MOH recipients. I'm not a dealer and don't have any autographs outside of my collecting area. I'm just a collector selling off accumulated extras.
This is one of the duplicates from my accumulations. This is a hand-signed 3" x 5" white card personally signed by Mike Colalillo with a fine tip blue ballpoint pen. This is NOT a copy, facsimile, autopen, or other type of reproduction. Guaranteed 100% authentic for life. Card is in almost pristine condition. A bit of toning from age and storage. Some weak corners, but nothing to cause concern. See the photo. This is the actual card for sale. Ask questions before bidding. I'm offering this historical signature "as is".
PFC Colalillo was awarded the MOH for his heroic actions near Untergriesheim, Germany in 1945. He encouraged his unit to follow him into enemy fire and exposed himself to enemy fire on several occasions in order to knock out German MG positions. He manned an exposed MG atop a US tank and fired with such deadly accuracy that many German positions were annihilated or its' crew sent off in panic. Uninsured items ship at the buyer's sole risk, so give this some thought. I do not issue refunds or credits on uninsured items damaged or mysteriously "lost" in the mail.
