An original World War One letter. It is dated, January 31, 1918. The letter reads: Dear Pa I am trying to write you a few lines in my spare time. We are detailed to work all night and I am resting up a little bit I am feeling well and hope you and Ma is the same.....I hope John is all right and off the stuff. I was sorry to hear Joe Ring is sick. I guess it is a tuff life on the R.R. breaking. They are out on them trains in all kinds of weather......I am in the tent here......Joseph V.
