An original World War One letter which includes the envelope. It is dated, Mary 31 1919 To-sur-tille. The letter reads:
Dear Ma
I received your letter of May 12, 1919 and was very glad to hear from you. I was also glad to hear that you received four of the packages I sent.....We left Laungress yesterday morning for Tsur-tillle and from here we will go to Le-mans for our final inspection and from there we will go to Brest to sail. I think we will be out of this country in two weeks. The Mass boys in the company will all have to go to Camp Devens to get Musterd out.....I am sending you a picture of our barracks at Lanngress France. I sure do dread these next two weeks.....Joe
The letter has some wear and some stain marks.
