An original World War One letter which includes the envelope. The envelope has the send to address of Toledo, Iowa. It is dated, Camp Jackson July 13, 1918. The letter reads:
Dearest Alice
I received your letter this noon and I guess I can't tell you how glad I was to get it.......We had another hike this morning left quarters at 7 A.M. marched north way through the camp and out in to the country a little way but took a short cut coming back I saw a lot of the camp I had never seen before...............Chrissie
The letter is in very good condition.
