Robert Wyler (1900 - 1971) was an American film producer and associate producer. He was the older brother of the more illustrious William Wyler and a nephew of Universal Studios head, Carl Laemmle. His first credit was as a producer in 1928, and he made several unsuccessful attempts at directing in the early 1930s. He found success in the late 1940s and '50s, however, when the film he associate-produced in 1949 — his brother's adaptation of The Heiress — was nominated for Best Film at the Academy Awards and won its star, Olivia de Havilland, her second Oscar. Wyler himself was nominated for the screenplay for Detective Story in 1951, another film directed by his brother and a controversial hit in its day. He was involved as an associate producer on most of his brother's films through the 1950s, such as Roman Holiday (1953) and Friendly Persuasion (1956). He also wrote the screenplay for the 1958 Western hit, The Big Country. Wyler was married to actress Cathy O'Donnell from 1948 until her death in 1970. William Wyler (July 1, 1902 – July 27, 1981) was a multiple Academy Award-winning motion picture director. To original signatures on a bill of the Paramount Continental Cafe 1950/ 1951.
