Please meet Ralph, a mans man. Ralph is seventy three, sort of. He is 80'' by 60'' before a good meal and his weight is 6.8 pounds. No problem mentioning that fact. There must have been a tast force to make this. How would anyone own so many wool suits. Theses must be from the thirties and forties. Fifty five squares are from lower Chicago where police kept the clothing of bootleggers. These were purchased at an open auction. Twenty six pieces were found on a train in Milan. They were samples for a new line of clothing to be shown in New York in 1944. Thirty three were found in an old stage coach left in a barn in Oklahoma in 1947. There was some moth damage in those pieces. Sixty one pieces were purchased at one of the first Salvation Army stores in Florida. Fortunately the material was too heavy to wear in Florida and the suits found a new home. The last twelve pieces were from one of my Grandfathers suits. These were all handed to a group of quilters with the hope of a memory quilt. Ralph isin pretty good condition. There are two spots I have found with moth holes . Honestly you have to look to find them. The back is in excellant shape. Ralph is looking for a cooler climate, thanks.
