This bank is vintage (I bought it in the 1970's), but it has never been used as a bank. The front of the bank reads "CUSS BOX---CUSSIN AIN'T THE NICEST THING AND FRIENDS FER YOU IT SHORE DON'T BRING BUT, IF YOU REALLY GOTTA SAYEM HERES THE WAY YOU HAFTA PAYEM!". The back of the bank reads "THE PAY OFF---ONE CUSS JUST A NICKEL, TWO CUSSES JUST A DIME, FOR THREE CUSSES YOU REALLY OUGHTER PUT IN THE BOX AT LEAST A QUARTER!". In smaller print at the bottom of the back is "ALASKA". It is made from a cross section of tree branch, and measures approx. 3 1/2" high x 4" wide x 1 3/4" deep.
