This listing is for the pictured stone bowl carved in northern India. The stone is a type of colorful marble found in the himalayas which occurs naturally in almost all colors. It is the same stone that many of our Buddha carvings and chess sets are made from. This particular piece is quite large and heavy - it weighs approximately 4 lbs 9 1/2 oz and measures 7" wide x about 6" high - there's a quarter in one of the photos below to help show the size. A wonderful work of stone art! More bowls like this are available as well as un-carved, smooth marble ones. If you don't see them listed, please ask :)
This particular bowl as some minor scratches encircling the bowl - this is not that unusal, they are from the bowl being turned on a stone lathe during construction. But as part of the sale, this bowl is up for $0.01....good luck!
